Hill-Burton Facilities – Facilities participating in the Hill-Burton program are obligated to provide free and low-cost health care service to those who are unable to pay for them. Each facility provides a specific set of services. Eligibility is based on the size of the family and household income. State Medical Assistance Programs – These programs help people with incomes under poverty levels with doctor visits, hospitalizations, prescription services, and insurance premiums.
