I've worked at the same company for six years now, and had thought that my insurance was fairly decent. Each year, the HR department tells us it's done a fantastic job of keeping premiums down for us for yet another year. What they haven't told us so clearly is that our prescription drug coverage has dwindled down to the bare minimum.
In the last year, I've had three different prescriptions come back as being not covered by my prescription insurance. I miss the days of companies providing decent health care coverage. With no national health care plan (and no such solution in sight), I find myself wondering whether our government is truly looking out for the health and welfare of its citizens, or if, instead, it is merely politicking about the woes of high health care costs without actually doing anything.
