I had a lump on in my Thyroid that I bothered me when I swallowed. It was noticeable on just one side of my neck when I raised my chin. I had an aspiration done, and it was only fluid, and not cancer cells. I have goiter and hypothyroid in my extended family. I had surgery to remove the swollen 1/2. The remainin 1/2 has maintained my thoroxin levels for 17 years and I have not had to have hormone supplements at all.
