Please Help Save My Life; Does Any One Care?

My health benefits terminated with loss of job in April. I am diabetic, hypertensive and was under work-up for possible liver cancer. I am unable to afford to even see my physicians or afford to take the medications I desperately need on a daily basis. I have worked for 35 years and never ever thought the day would come when I was unable to afford life-saving medications. I am fortunately employed; however, with the increase in the cost of living and the static wages, I am barely able to pay rent and utilities, etc.; and in fact, I used to live “paycheck to paycheck” but that has now changed, and my paycheck does not even cover the 2 week pay period any longer. I am in desperate need of help. I am single, self-supporting, and have no family left for any kind of support. After working for 35 years, I still have 11 years left before retirement, etc.; but I do not believe I will be able to live that long. As a country, we spend so much money helping other countries, immigrants, etc., but no efforts are made to help US citizens who have supported this country, generation by generation, for many, many years.

have you applied for SSI through your local social security office?
you may be eligible and with SSI you get medicaid. also apply for disability (SSDI) while you are at it. after being approved for disability it take 27 months to get medicare. The SSI is to get you through until you are approved for SSDI. If I can be of assistance please feel free to email me at nvigorated@aol.com. I have been there and done that and have some insight as to how to go about applying and gettting approved. Good luck and God bless.
