Can’t Afford Medicine
My husband is on Social Security and has dementia and skin cancers with a lot of other problems, I have diabetes and hypothyroidism and high blood pressure. He has VA, I have no kind of insurance. I can only get my medicine only occasionally. With the high prices of utilities and other household bills, my children have to help with our groceries and they have families of their own. I hate to ask them but sometimes I have to or we would go hungry. I have reached the end of my rope. I do not know what to do. His SS is $1209.00 per month and the trips to Houston and Lufkin to the Dr. is expensive. I work three days a week to help out but am 62 and ready to retire.
