Who Would Have Thought
My husband injured his back 25 years ago and has had 2 surgeries. He only got worse and has been unable to work since his injury. We switched rolls and I went to work and provided medical insurance and an income. Four years ago, I hurt my back, the same type of injury as my husband. I soon developed Rheumatoid Arthritis, liver disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and depression. Now we are both out of work. Everybody knows this story - no medical, no income, kids to raise, bills to pay. The Medicare Drug Program helps, but it runs out too soon and everybody knows prescriptions aren’t cheap. Who would have thought we’d be in this situation at our age?
