Lost Jobs After Car Accident

Friday, September 29th, 2006

I was in an incapacitating car accident 9-2001. I have brain injury. The past few months I have tried to work. Both jobs “released” me, as I was not able to do the job required. I have no income whatsoever. I am trying to sell my clothes on Ebay to make enough to pay the $25.30 per month for my state assisted health care. Since I now have HEALTHCARE, I can no longer receive free health care at the local clinic. And since my health care bill for two visits is almost $300.00, they don’t want to see me again. I am on three blood pressure medications, acid reflux medication, and a cholesterol lowering medication. With the state assisted “prescription assistance” it will cost me $100.00 per month co pay. On an income of zero, this is not possible.

Prescription Assistance Hard To Find

Friday, September 29th, 2006

I’m a 48-year-old female in need of medical assistance. I have no health insurance and my life insurance dropped me after I had a small stroke in 2004. I’ve been taking Blood Pressure meds since 1995 when I had my first stroke at Church in the choir. God does take care of m, but for these meds I have to take I need the assistance of man. I take a number of about 8-10 drugs per day.
Norvasc, Monopril, Triamterene, Metoporal, and clonodine all for the control of my Blood pressure, I also have to take clonozapam for facial spasms, and recently was given a prescription for Zelnorm and todolac. So if anyone can help me please I will forever be grateful.

Medicines Cost Way Too Much

Friday, September 29th, 2006

I do not have prescription coverage. Medicines cost way too much. I think it is a sin to make elderly people who need medicines to live - pay all of their monthly incomes on medicines. Drug companies should be ashamed for these high costs.

Pulling A Wisdom Tooth Does Not Hurt!

Friday, September 29th, 2006

I just got my wisdom tooth pulled today, and I’d like to say to anyone with anxiety about getting a tooth pulled… It is completely painless. The only thing I don’t like is not being able to get something to eat for the next 45 min! I should have eaten lunch before I went to the dentist.

Stapled Stomach Leads To Freedom

Friday, September 29th, 2006

In 1996, I was 4′11″, 23 and 396lbs. I knew that if nothing changed I wouldn’t see 30. I tried every exercise, diet and diet pill…to no avail. After seeing a surgical weight-loss commercial, I got the phone book, called around and was able to make an consolation appt with a local doctor. My appt went well, I was a perfect candidate for a Vertical Banded Gastroplasty (Stomach Stapling, not bypass). The date was set 7/6/96. Wow, was that the best thing I ever did or what, now I am healthy, happy, and regret nothing. For without the surgery, I wouldn’t be here now, that I am sure of!
