Eye Checkup

Friday, September 29th, 2006

I’ve got a problem with my eyes and need to get the checkup don. I tried to get this info from one of my friend. I just moved to Kansas from NJ. I’m currently working for a Government project here in Overland park. I just need the prescription so that I can get the glasses of my own.

No More Prescription Money

Friday, September 29th, 2006

I was diagnosed with Catastrophic Antiphospholipid Antibody Syndrome, a form of Lupus, last year and have been battling insurance companies ever since. I have to take a very expensive immunosuppressant along with several other medications every month. I have been barely able to come up with the $500 co pays each month until this month when my insurance company said I’d reached my max they would cover for the calendar year. I just don’t know what to do because it would cost me $1500 a month at least for my meds.

Weight Loss Success

Friday, September 29th, 2006

At the age of 57 and after trying countless diets I have found the healthiest way to achieve my goal and to have it last is not to DIET. With a combination of exercise and good nutrition I have achieved my goal and have been able to keep the weight off for 2 years. I eat a lot of leafy green vegetables, chicken, and fish. I make sure I eat breakfast early every day. You need your three meals a day plus snack, such as an apple, pear or other fruit or vegetable. Stay away from the chips. I exercise at least four days a week, treadmill and free weights, one hour on the treadmill and one hour lifting. If you are able, I would suggest doing both. It’s a small price to pay for your health.

Rosacea Remedy

Friday, September 29th, 2006

Short of frequent trips to the dermatologist and prescriptions for tetracycamine, I’ve tried all sorts of home remedies for covering or alleviating the red blotches typical of rosacea, but I would never have guessed that the solution would be so simple as a visit to the lasik surgeon! Would you believe that rosacea is a RESULT OF ‘DRY EYE’? Any over-the-counter dry eye treatment such as Refresh or Systane will cure your redness. Give it a try! My redness was completely gone on the second day. No kidding!

Loss of Insurance and Mental Health

Friday, September 29th, 2006

I have always been employed with health insurance and until recently did not realize the expenses involved without such. I have had mental health issues most of my adult life. The cost of prescription meds is so expensive that I have had to do without. My family came down to help me get to a doctor just to be rediagnosed with bipolar disorder and now I have to figure out how I am going to afford the medications necessary to function on a daily basis. It is scary when you cannot afford to go to a doctor much less afford the medicines you need. I hope I will be eligible for this program.
